Menjar I Beure - El Born

Ever miss your grandma food? Those fresh ingredients and tasty dishes? Being half Italian, half Greek I’ve been quite spoiled with my grandmother’s food when I was younger and I sometimes really miss home made cooked meals. Discovering Menjar I Beure was like falling back into my childhood and rediscovering all those tastes and incredible sensations! Right on the side of the Santa Caterina market, this little restaurant offers a wide range of tapas and dished directly made with fresh products of the market. I was really amazed by how the fresh products have a complete different taste compared to what I am used to buy in supermarkets. The sunny terrace was lovely and there were some tourists but quite a few locals as well, which is always a good sign. We went for a few tapas and everything was delicious, I couldn’t have asked for better! The service was good and the prices quite reasonable, so if you’re ever in Barcelona you have to check out this place! And take advantage of being there to buy some fresh products at the market and discover El Born which definitely became my favorite neighborhood in the city!
